Banca Romaneasca reported a profit growth by 8% to €12 million in 2007 and the doubling of the loan portofolio to €1,54 billion.

The profit of Banca Romaneasca rose due to the income up 43% on the previous year, to €72 million. In 2006, the income results of base activities posted €50 million. At the same time, operational costs grew 53% to €60 million compared with €39 million in 2006.

Business lending has grown by 114% to €844 million, while the retail lending operations doubled to €691 million in 2007. Total lending in the Banca Romaneasca amounted to €741 million in the previous year. Likewise, deposits grew 92% to €634 million compared with €331 million in 2006.

In December 2007, The Banca Romaneasca's presence in Romania totalled 125 units from which 46 units have been added since 2006, which determined staff number growth to 1539, up 41% on an annual basis.
