According to ALB statistics, real estate leasing has reached € 461,38 million in 2007, up 213% on 2006 (€ 147,48 million).

The main driver of credit activity was the industrial leasing, ciphered to € 214,58 million in 2007, succeeded by real estate leasing office, who has increased by 327%, to € 151,06 million.

Also, the real estate leasing for residential sector amounted to € 86,82 million, up 259% on an annual basis.

Business lending recorded the largest part of the total finances (97%), while the retail lending represented the rest of 3%.

Real estate leasing represents about 10% of the Romanian leasing market, which has recorded € 4,5 billion in 2007, up 51% on 2006.
